LIVING YOUR DREAMS

Before we begin the journey of Living Our Dreams, let me share this vital scriptural information an anonymous person sent to me with you on how to diffuse an attack on your self and keep your dreams alive:

Keep silence.

  • And went again into the judgment hall, and says unto Jesus, Whence art thou? But Jesus gave him no answer.
  • He that hath knowledge spare his words: and a man of understanding is of an excellent spirit. Even a fool, when he hold his peace, is counted wise: and he that shut his lips is esteemed a man of understanding.
  • He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he open not his mouth.

Think before you react.

  • The heart of the righteous study to answer: but the mouth of the wicked poureth out evil things.
  • Seest thou a man that is hasty in his words? there is more hope of a fool than of him.
  • Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath: For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.

Really listen.

  • Hear counsel, and receive instruction, that thou mayest be wise in thy latter end.
  • A fool hath no delight in understanding, but that his heart may discover itself.
  • Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:

Respond gently.

  • A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger.
  • The wise in heart shall be called prudent: and the sweetness of the lips increaseth learning.
  • By long forbearing is a prince persuaded, and a soft tongue breaketh the bone.

Agree. …with whatever is true; in principle; with the possibility of truth

  • Agree with thine adversary quickly, whiles thou art in the way with him; lest at any time the adversary deliver thee to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the officer, and thou be cast into prison.
  • Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.

Give caring feedback

  • Jesus answered, Thou couldest have no power at all against me, except it were given thee from above: therefore he that delivered me unto thee hath the greater sin.
  • A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger.

Ask for more

  • Jesus answered him, Sayest thou this thing of thyself, or did others tell it thee of me?
  • But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also. And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloak also. And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain.

Avoid quarreling

  • Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:
  • The beginning of strife is as when one letteth out water: therefore leave off contention, before it be meddled with.

Offer to help

  • And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloak also. And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain.
  • But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you, Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you.

Ask for forgiveness

  • And Saul said unto Samuel, I have sinned: for I have transgressed the commandment of the LORD, and thy words: because I feared the people, and obeyed their voice. Now therefore, I pray thee, pardon my sin, and turn again with me, that I may worship the LORD. And Samuel said unto Saul, I will not return with thee: for thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, and the LORD hath rejected thee from being king over Israel. And as Samuel turned about to go away, he laid hold upon the skirt of his mantle, and it rent. And Samuel said unto him, The LORD hath rent the kingdom of Israel from thee this day, and hath given it to a neighbour of thine, that is better than thou. And also the Strength of Israel will not lie nor repent: for he is not a man, that he should repent. Then he said, I have sinned: yet honour me now, I pray thee, before the elders of my people, and before Israel, and turn again with me, that I may worship the LORD thy God.
  • I pray thee, forgive the trespass of thine handmaid: for the LORD will certainly make my lord a sure house; because my lord fighteth the battles of the LORD, and evil hath not been found in thee all thy days.
