Keep silence.
- And went again into the judgment hall, and says unto Jesus, Whence art thou? But Jesus gave him no answer.

Think before you react.
- The heart of the righteous study to answer: but the mouth of the wicked poureth out evil things.

- Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath: For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God.
Really listen.
- Hear counsel, and receive instruction, that thou mayest be wise in thy latter end.
- A fool hath no delight in understanding, but that his heart may discover itself.
- Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:
Respond gently.
- A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger.
- The wise in heart shall be called prudent: and the sweetness of the lips increaseth learning.
- By long forbearing is a prince persuaded, and a soft tongue breaketh the bone.
Agree. …with whatever is true; in principle; with the possibility of truth
- Agree with thine adversary quickly, whiles thou art in the way with him; lest at any time the adversary deliver thee to the judge, and the judge deliver thee to the officer, and thou be cast into prison.
- Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.
Give caring feedback

Avoid quarreling
- Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamour, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice:
- The beginning of strife is as when one letteth out water: therefore leave off contention, before it be meddled with.
Offer to help
- And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloak also. And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain.
- But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do good to them which hate you, Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you.
Ask for forgiveness
- And Saul said unto Samuel, I have sinned: for I have transgressed the commandment of the LORD, and thy words: because I feared the people, and obeyed their voice. Now therefore, I pray thee, pardon my sin, and turn again with me, that I may worship the LORD. And Samuel said unto Saul, I will not return with thee: for thou hast rejected the word of the LORD, and the LORD hath rejected thee from being king over
- I pray thee, forgive the trespass of thine handmaid: for the LORD will certainly make my lord a sure house; because my lord fighteth the battles of the LORD, and evil hath not been found in thee all thy days.
